Elementrē MD Peel Acne Prone Skin is a professional-grade exfoliant designed for acne-prone and oily skin. It combines AHA (mandelic acid) and BHA (salicylic acid) to effectively exfoliate, clear pores, and reduce inflammatory lesions. Regular use helps achieve clearer skin, smoother texture, and reduced acne scarring.

Effects and active ingredients

  • Salicylic Acid – a BHA that penetrates pores, dissolves sebum and dead cells, reduces inflammation, and helps control comedones, papules, and pustules. Ideal for oily and acne-prone skin.

  • Mandelic Acid – an AHA that gently exfoliates the skin surface, evens out texture, and helps regulate sebum production. It also has antibacterial properties and is well-suited for problematic and sensitive skin.

Working together, these acids cleanse the skin surface and pores, help prevent new blemishes, reduce acne scars, and improve skin clarity and uniformity.

Indications
MD Peel Acne Prone Skin is recommended for:

  • acne-prone and oily skin

  • comedonal, papular, and papulopustular acne

  • reducing the visibility of acne scars

  • supportive care for seborrhea and seborrheic dermatitis

Before the procedure
To achieve the best results and minimize the risk of irritation:

  • Use Elementrē Cleansing Gel for daily cleansing, especially before and after chemical peels.

  • Two weeks before the MD Peel Acne Prone Skin procedure:

    • use AHA Foamer in the morning

    • use Night Exfoliating Gel in the evening

  • Use Dry Touch Sun Cream SPF50+ before, between, and after peels to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.

  • Avoid professional exfoliating treatments (microdermabrasion, ultrasonic peeling, chemical or mechanical peels) one week before the procedure.

  • Do not use highly abrasive or irritating home products.

  • Avoid waxing, bleaching, or depilation in the area immediately before the procedure; wait at least 24 hours after shaving.

  • Wait at least 1 week after injectable fillers and at least 2 weeks after tattoos before peeling.

Instructions for use
Remove contact lenses, jewelry, and piercings before the procedure. The patient must keep their eyes closed throughout the process. Monitor skin reaction throughout the peel and do not leave the patient unattended.

  1. Cleanse the skin with AHA Foamer.

  2. If necessary, cleanse the skin with alcohol or acetone (using a cotton pad or gauze) to balance pH and ensure even penetration of the peel.

  3. Apply a barrier cream (e.g., Recovery Cream Mask or petroleum jelly) to sensitive areas (eye area, nostrils, near mucous membranes).

  4. Apply approximately 2 ml of peeling solution to gauze or a cotton pad and distribute evenly – starting from more resilient areas (forehead) and moving towards the cheeks, chin, perioral area, and nose. A slight tingling or stinging sensation may occur, which subsides upon neutralization or removal. Discontinue the procedure if severe discomfort occurs.
